Tehran, Islamabad discuss military ties

TEHRAN – Habibollah Sayyari, the deputy army chief for coordination affairs, has met with senior Pakistani military commanders to explore avenues for the promotion of Tehran-Islamabad military cooperation.

Heading a high-ranking military delegation, Rear Admiral Sayyari has travelled to Karachi to attend the International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2018) of Pakistan, Tasnim reported on Thursday.

In his meeting with Chairman of Pakistan's Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, the two officials called for closer cooperation between the neighbors in manufacturing arms and other military activities.
